Terms of sale
Last updated: September 2026. Seller: ELMODF SASU (see the legal notice). These terms are a translation for convenience; the French version prevails in case of discrepancy, and French law applies.
1. What is sold
Country Duels sells a digital good called a "push". A push adds the amount paid to one country's total in a duel, and displays a pin on that duel's page carrying the optional nickname and message entered at checkout.
A push is not a donation, a bet, or a game of chance: a duel's outcome depends only on the amounts pushed, and no winnings, prize, refund or benefit is promised to the winning country or to its buyers.
2. Price and payment
The minimum push is €2, the maximum €500. Prices are shown in euros including French VAT. Payment is by card or wallet through Stripe. No account is created on the site.
3. Delivery
The digital content is delivered immediately after payment is confirmed: the pin and the total appear on the duel page within seconds. The pin stays visible for as long as the duel exists, and for at least twelve months.
4. Right of withdrawal
Under article L.221-28 1° of the French consumer code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content delivered immediately where performance began with the consumer's express consent and express waiver of that right. By confirming payment you request immediate performance and waive that right, so no refund is due once the push is displayed.
In case of a technical error (double charge, push not displayed), write to contact@elmodf.com: the amount is refunded or the push restored.
5. Moderation
Nicknames and messages are filtered automatically and may be hidden afterwards if they carry hateful, discriminatory or defamatory content, incitement to violence, personal data, advertising or a link. Hiding a message gives no right to a refund; the amount stays counted in the duel.
6. House seeding
The publisher may add a €2 push on each side of a new duel so the bar does not start empty. Those pushes are shown on the wall under the name "The house" with a "house seed" tag: identifiable by everyone, symmetric, and therefore never changing who leads. No other push is recorded without payment.
7. Liability
The site is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability. The seller's liability is limited to the amount of the push concerned.
8. Disputes
French law applies. If a complaint cannot be settled, the consumer may use a French consumer mediator free of charge: [to be completed before payments open]. The European online dispute resolution platform is also available.
